We can do better

DC thrives in spite of its governance, not because of it. We can do better. #FlipTheScript is our campaign to make that happen. We're running ads across social media to fire up DC residents and demand change. But DC can't fix this alone. Statehood requires a constitutional amendment ratified by 38 states, so we're also running ads across the country to tell Americans a simple truth most of them don't know: 700,000 of their fellow citizens lack basic rights including no vote in Congress.

Our social media spots

The Flip the Script campaign is currently live on Facebook. Here are the four spots we're running right now.

01

Not A Political Playground.

Congress controls DC's laws, budget, and future. 700,000 residents have no say. DC isn't a political playground. It's home. When Congress overrides our local decisions, it's not governance. It's control without consent.

The Capital of Inequality.

Flip the Script - The Capital of Inequality. Dark blue background showing 700K residents, #1 taxes per capita, 0 votes in Congress.

700,000 residents. #1 in federal taxes per capita. Zero votes in Congress. The rights declared in 1776 still don't apply to the Americans living in our nation's capital. As America turns 250, it's time to ask: how long is long enough?
